How Water Can Reduce Back Pain


It’s time to annoy you with why you need to drink more water! I know, I know this is a “dry” subject. Most people SAY they know they should drink more water, but seriously how many people actually do drink more?


Usually, people drink LESS THAN ENOUGH to properly run their bodies! You know you’re one of em...sorry to break it to you but most people I have trained drink less than 4 cups per day. This blog is a reminder...that’s all, just a reminder to drink more water, because, “repetition is the mother of skill” (Tony Robbins). So, the more you read or hear something the more you remember to apply it.

Here’s why you should drink more water when it comes to preventing pain: your spine will start to shrink (aka “degenerate”) if it does not get enough or if it gets the wrong kind (like acidic purified water, sodas, or anything with processed sugar).


What happens when it shrinks is those columns of bone that make up your spine along with your discs start to slowly compress and you begin forming bone spurs and chronic degenerative disc disease...PLUS they start to press on the nerves running up and down those areas along your spinal column!

It’s very simple: drink more water and you will keep your spinal pillows, known as your DISCS and those hard sections holding them in place known as your BONES. What happens to grapes when they dry? They become raisins. As tasty as they are, back pain is not sweet. It’s very logical: don’t turn your spine from grapes into raisins, so drink MORE WATER. Half your weight in ounces a day. Don’t just wing it and guess. Actually do the math and you’ll never worry about it again.


However, it isn’t as easy as drinking just ANY water, because purified water is so overly purified and doesn’t “connect” or absorb into you as much as spring water. Water picks up nutrients and minerals as it passes through the grass, soil, sediment, dirt, and rocks in nature. When it does this it picks up a lot of those minerals that help you actually absorb it like magnesium, calcium, sodium, etc. But, when you purify it through ozonation, distillation, or reverse osmosis, it no longer has those minerals in it. Resulting in the lack of absorption and thus not hydrating your body and spine.


Instead, choose water full of the most amount of minerals you can get! The best choices are spring water or artesian water. Since when you drink the right kind of water it can be a natural detoxifier. So, it will not only hydrate you it will also flush your body out of most of the crap that we put in it. This will help you lose weight and clear up some of that acne.


Also, adding some Pink Himalayan Salt to your water to help you absorb it more because it adds minerals to the water that it usually gets as it comes down the mountain through the spring. I also like Celtic Seas Salt, French Grey Salt, and Hawaiin Red Salt.

Another technique that helps you actually absorb the water you drink is, the phrase Paul Chek says, “chew your water and drink your food.” What he means is that when you eat chew it until it becomes liquid, and when you drink make sure you swish it around in your mouth for some time so that your saliva connects to it which allows better assimilation of this precious liquid.

In conclusion, drink more spring water or artesian water, and make sure to actually absorb it by keeping it in your mouth for longer than usual (about 30 seconds or more).
